Dubai leadership reviews the labour ministry's agenda: national talent and AI services
A high-level review of the labour ministry's programme put national talent, AI-enabled government services and closer alignment between higher education and employer demand at the centre of the next phase.

Dubai's Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, received the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar, to review the ministry's labour-market projects. The emphasis was on investing in national talent, raising competitiveness and building a framework that joins federal and emirate-level support for Emiratis across sectors.
A second theme was technology. The meeting reviewed the use of artificial intelligence and advanced tools to improve government labour services, the permits, approvals and compliance channels employers use every week, with the Minister of State for AI, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications present.
The third theme was education. Discussions covered aligning higher-education curricula and expanding scientific disciplines so that graduate supply matches what the labour market is actually hiring for.
None of this changes a rule this week. It does signal where the next set of rules comes from: more coordination between federal and emirate systems, and more of the compliance surface moving into automated services.
