UAE hotels are still hiring — but the talent race has changed shape
At ATM 2026 in Dubai, hospitality leaders said the difficulty is no longer filling vacancies but competing for experienced people who combine service skills with digital confidence.

Tourism growth across the UAE and the wider Gulf is keeping hotel recruitment active, but executives speaking around the 33rd Arabian Travel Market in Dubai described a different problem from the one they had two years ago. Vacancies are not hard to advertise; experienced candidates are hard to win.
Demand is strongest where hospitality, tourism, real estate and infrastructure pipelines overlap, and the same candidates are being courted by employers in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Recruiters at the event said employers now look for people who can pair guest-facing judgement with comfort using digital systems, which narrows the pool further.
The practical response is planning rather than speed. Openings scheduled twelve to eighteen months out need sourcing decisions now, especially for supervisory and head-of-department roles that take longest to mobilise.
