The UAE is pushing more women graduates into cybersecurity through a structured programme that combines classroom training, a recognised vendor certification and a route into employer security teams, Khaleej Times reported.
Security hiring in the Gulf has been constrained less by the number of graduates than by the entry point: most vacancies are written at three to five years of experience, which leaves no door for a certified newcomer. Programmes like this one only pay off for employers who create that door — a monitored analyst seat, a rotation through the security operations centre, or a supervised shift pattern.
For companies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai already struggling to fill security operations roles, a national pipeline of certified local candidates is also an Emiratisation opportunity that sits in a technical function rather than an administrative one.
