AI is reshaping Gulf roles rather than removing them, consultancy report says

The question employers keep asking is whether AI will reduce headcount. The answer coming out of the regional data, as reported by Khaleej Times, is that roles are being rewritten faster than they are being removed: routine drafting, reconciliation and first-pass analysis move to the tools, while the job description shifts toward judgement, review and client-facing work.
For recruitment that changes the brief more than the budget. A finance or marketing vacancy written two years ago will attract candidates for a job that no longer exists in that form. The employers getting good shortlists now are rewriting the specification around what the person will decide and own, and treating tool fluency as a trainable requirement rather than a filter.
It also raises the internal stakes. Where a team is already using the tools informally, the skill gap inside the company is usually wider than the gap in the candidate market, and a short structured upskilling programme is cheaper than replacing experienced staff.
